SGC Services field support vehicle concept at a historic cemetery

Planned statewide service program

Practical care for historic places across Connecticut.

SGC Services is being developed to help municipalities, cemetery stewards, historical organizations, and communities document, stabilize, clean, recover, and responsibly care for historic sites.

Vehicle shown is a concept visualization for the future field-support program.

Built for responsible field support

Preservation needs more than good intentions.

Historic places require careful planning, appropriate tools, accurate documentation, and accountable follow-through. SGC Services will extend Silent Grounds Collective’s preservation mission through practical support designed around each site’s history, ownership, condition, and community needs.

Availability will be introduced in phases. Every project will require owner authorization, a documented scope, and methods appropriate to the site.

Preserve · Restore · Recover

Professional field support. Nonprofit purpose.

SGC Services is envisioned as a mission-aligned program of Silent Grounds Collective. Service revenue and partnerships would help strengthen preservation capacity while expanding responsible care for historic places throughout Connecticut.

A clear, accountable process

Every project starts with the site—not a one-size-fits-all package.

1. Inquiry

Tell us about the property, concern, ownership, and desired outcome.

2. Site Review

We review conditions, access, risks, records, and any specialist requirements.

3. Written Scope

The methods, responsibilities, limits, schedule, and documentation are defined first.

4. Work & Handoff

The work is completed responsibly, documented, and handed back with next-step guidance.

Who we plan to serve

  • Municipalities and public agencies
  • Cemetery associations and houses of worship
  • Historical societies, museums, and nonprofits
  • Property stewards and preservation partners
  • Families, descendants, and community groups
