Preserve. Restore. Remember.

Silent Grounds Collective is a Connecticut nonprofit organization connecting cemetery preservation, historical documentation, and community memory.

Care for places and the people they remember.

Our work brings together practical stewardship, surviving records, and the stories attached to historic places. The West Cemetery Stewardship Initiative and our digital collections connect fieldwork with a public record people can explore.

A public archive, one picture at a time.

The SGC Digital Archives brings historic photographs, cemetery research, and local histories together. Each image keeps its date, credit, and source so visitors can enjoy the picture and follow the story behind it.
